How do I pay for my ShapeUp Club account?
We use PayPal as our payment provider - because it's a safe and reliable partner for money transactions on the internet. ShapeUp Club does not save or in any ways handle your credit card information.
You can pay using your ordinary credit card or your PayPal account.
You can choose between these three different membership options.
- $3 a month for 12 months
- $5 a month for 3 months
- $7 a month for 1 month
You always pay for your subscription in advance before each billing cycle. At the beginning of each billing period, you will be automatically billed using your valid credit card.
One week before the payment is done you will receive an email if you use the 3 or 12 months subscription. You can at any time cancel your membership and your membership is still valid for the subscription time you already paid for.

How do I cancel my ShapeUp Club account?
Your subscription will be running until you decide to terminate it.
You can at any time terminate your membership and your membership is
still valid for the subscription time you already paid for.
To end your subscription please login and go to the settings section
where you find information on how to terminate your account.

Where can I find more information about my membership?
When logged in at ShapeUpClub.com your membership information can be found in the Settings section. You can find details about your subscription, change membership type and also unsubscribe from the service.

I didn't get my one-month-free email, why is that?
It sometimes can take some time before recieving the email and also make sure the email isn't in your spam folder. If this isn't the problem then maybe the email bounced back to us because of spam filter or you entered the wrong email. If you haven't recieved the message in the nearest hours please contact us and we will help you out.

I cannot login to my account, why?
First of all you need to create an account at ShapeUpClub.com. This is something you have to do even if you already have downloaded the ShapeUp Club iPhone app. Note that the password you may use for protecting the iPhone app has nothing to do with your password at ShapeUpClub.com. Also make sure that you have paid for your account.
Sometimes you might need to empty your cache to be able to login again. Google has a great guide on how to do this: Cookies: Clearing cache and cookies.

How does the calorie markers work?
With the new 2.0 version and the online service we changed the calorie markers. Let's say you want to lose weight and that your daily intake is 1800 calories.
Before ShapeUp Club used just a green check when you ate under your recommended intake and a red cross when eating too much. So even if you just ate 600 calorie you would get the green check and if you ate 1801 calories you got the red cross. That's not totally right. Eating way under the recommended calorie isn't the way to go if you would like to lose weight in a safe and long-term way. And of course you should be able to eat some calories over your budget without getting the red cross.
So in the new version we changed the calorie markers and added a new one, a yellow arrow marker telling you that you are under your recommended calorie intake, and that we recommend you to eat more.
So to summarize:
From now on the red cross means you ate too much.
The yellow arrow tells you that we recommend you to eat more to reach your goal.
Finally the green check means perfect!

Can I use ShapeUpClub.com without an iPhone?
Yes, you are not bound to have an iPhone to use the online service. Just create an online account and you are ready to go!

How are the percentages of nutritions calculated?
The percent in ShapeUp Club are based on Energy Percent (E%). This means that they are based on percent of the total calorie intake. As fat contains more energy than protein it will show up as a higher percent in the charts. E% is standard when tracking what you are eating and used by almost every weight tracking program.

Problems when loading the new diary for the first time
Some browsers have cached data from ShapeUpClub and this causes problems for the new update. What you need to do is to flush your browser cache and everything will start working (sometimes it's enough to just reload the page). How do I sync my iPhone with ShapeUpClub.com?
To get your account synced with your iPhone app, login with your
ShapeUpClub.com account in the app and follow the instructions.
We recommend you to
sync using a Wifi connection. Please do not exit your application
while the sync is in progress. You will get confirmation when the sync
has finished.
Please note that you can use the iPhone app without an internet
connection or a ShapeUpClub.com account. You can of course also use
ShapeUpClub.com without the iPhone app.
If you have any problems syncing please contact us so we can fix this
for you. We aslo recommend you to watch this tutorial video which show

Does the iPhone app work without Internet connection?
Yes, you can use the ShapeUp Club iPhone app without an Internet connection. You can do all common stuff like add food, track weight and so on. Without an Internet connection you cannot use the online database or sync with ShapeUpClub.com. However you can still use the
food you have downloaded from the online database to your personal database.

How can I get ShapeUp Club on my iPhone or iPod Touch?
ShapeUp Club is available for iPhone and iPod touch. You can download
the app from the iPhone App Store. When using the iPhone/iPod app
together with ShapeUpClub.com you can sync all your data between these
two. Use the app when on the move and the website to get an overview
of your progress.
Please note that you can use the iPhone app without a ShapeUpClub.com
account. You can of course also use ShapeUpClub.com without the iPhone
app.

As a previous user where can I find backup and export?
From the 2.0 version we moved the export feature and backup to the online service. This will make it easier for us to improve the exported pdf with charts and more data in the future.
As a previous user (you bought ShapeUp Club before 2.0 version) you can still use the export feature and backup from your iPhone app. The features have been moved from "Admin" tab to "Settings". To find it:
- Go into Profile tab
- Tap Settings in the left top corner
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Here you can find the backup and export features

Can I use the iPhone app without an online account?
Yes, the iPhone app works perfect without an account at ShapeUpClub.com. However you will miss the possibilty to sync with ShapeUpClub.com.

Can I use metric units?
Yes, ShapeUp Club works with both metric units and us units (imperial system). You can choose the system that suits you best.
